Forestry Exploration
The Tompkins County 4-H Forestry Exploration Program is a FREE 6-week program designed by volunteers on our 4-H Plant Science Program Committee. Its goal is to bring youth and families out to our 4-H Acres facility to gain a deeper understanding of forests in our backyard. Individual lessons will focus on forestry-related topics such as tree identification, forest ecology, birding, tracking animals, history, lands deeds, mosses, fungi, and water in the woods.
2011 Schedule
Sessions meet monthly on Saturdays from 10:00am-12:00pm at 4-H Acres. Participants may attend one or all of the sessions. Program is held outdoors so dress for the weather! Please preregister by calling Sherron at (607) 272-2292 or emailing scb42@cornell.edu.
