The staff:

It all starts with world-class role models. Our core staff are in the field year-round, honing skills and sharing their passion for learning with kids of all ages. Our summer recruiting is competitive on a national level, and new staff receive up to 16 weeks of training before taking lead roles. We are an organization that retains, trains and cherishes exceptional nature education educators.  Even our teen staff includes individuals with many years of experience working on the skills that they teach. The rich experience that distinguishes Primitive Pursuits from other nature camps reflects the high caliber of our crew.

The content:

When your kids come to a Primitive Pursuits Summer Camp, you can be sure of two things:
Your kids will spend over 30 hours in the great outdoors EACH WEEK, being challenged and supported by our seasoned staff. When we say "outside" we mean it - wild nature is what we're all about. Un-bounded, un-plugged, un-matched nature immersion is what we deliver.
Your kids will come home quenched and inspired after a full day of awesome adventures, achieving new levels of self-mastery among a supportive community of peers and mentors.
