After School Programs

What do you want your children doing after-school?

Does your current afterschool program engage children on a journey of self discovery in the outdoors? Would you like for it to? Primitive Pursuits began ten years ago as a single after-school program in Dryden, NY. Over the years we've been asked to offer more and more programs to over a dozen schools through out Tompkins County. If you would like Primitive Pursuits to do a program at your school let us know - we'll do whatever we can to make it happen!

Have you ever wanted to learn to survive in the woods?  Have you ever wanted to explore the wilds, and step off the beaten path?  Come join Primitive Pursuits each week, and learn the tools of survival right in the forests around your school.  Together we’ll work on making fires (without matches!), build rain-proof shelters, and find wild sources of food.  Each week will be a new adventure full of challenges & games to push your skills to the limit. Come join us!

AFter school program on West Hill

21-week session
Who: youth ages 7-12
When:Thurs, 3:30 -5:45pm, Jan. 12th - June 14th (no program 2/23, 4/12)
Where: EcoVillage, Ithaca 
Cost: $275 - $375, self-determined sliding scalePayment plans available.

AFter-School at Belle Sherman Elementary

21-week session
Who: youth grades 2-5
When: Tuesdays, 2:00-4:30pm, Jan. 10th - June 12th (no program 2/21, 4/10)
Where: meets at Belle Sherman Elementary School
Cost: $275 - $375, self-determined sliding scale
Payment plans available.
