REGISTRAR/CLIENT SERVICE MANAGER:

Location: Cornell Cooperative Extension - Tompkins County Administrative Building, Ithaca, NY
Employment Period:  Starting now, ending mid-late summer
Job Type: Temporary benefits eligible, starting at part time with potential increase to full time by April.
 

Description: This individual will be responsible for customer correspondence and record keeping, while supporting the administrative efforts of Cornell Cooperative Extension's Primitive Pursuits program. The majority of this support will come from implementing client relations management software, managing spreadsheets, cultivating communication with clients, and maintaining accurately detailed accounts and reports.

Location: Various camp locations around Ithaca, NY & Cornell Cooperative Extension - Tompkins County Administrative Building, Ithaca, NY
Employment Period:  3 months, June through August
Job Type: Full time. Summer season: 10 weeks of camp, June 25th-August 31st; staff training, June 18th-23rd; and pre-camp preparation.  

Description:  This individual will coordinate efforts between program leaders and field staff.  S/he will act as a liaison between families, students and instructors, will support field staff with leadership development activities and exercises, and will facilitate team work through regular meetings.  This individual will oversee resource allocation for programs and must be organized and capable of multi-tasking in high energy environment.

Description:  Wilderness Field Instructors facilitate the core aim of Primitive Pursuits; bringing groups of youth into natural areas, away from facilities and without modern gear, and engaging them in a self-directed inquiry into basic, personal and group survival needs.  Her/his key role in this task will be to assist and instruct youth on survival skills in the wild including but not limited to: primitive technology, fire making, shelter construction and procurement of food and water.
