4-H Youth Development Program

Committee Charge: The Tompkins County 4-H Youth Development Program Committee serves in an advisory capacity, providing input to staff and to the CCE-Tompkins Board of Directors on local program needs. The 4-H Program Committee is key to identifying and prioritizing the needs of youth locally to ensure that Cornell Cooperative Extension’s work is relevant and focused, to make the best use of available knowledge, money, time and other resources allocated to the 4-H Program.  An effective committee provides input for timely, sound educational programming; adequate resources, responsible program administration; effective staff; and good communications with clientele and decision-makers.

The  4-H Youth Development Program Committee usually meets on the third Thursday of the month at the Cooperative Extension Education Center. Contact Megan Tifft, 4-H Youth Development Program Leader, to confirm the date and time if you are interested in attending.
