Join with parents, volunteers and agency staff members to strengthen our community for children, youth and families! Monthly meetings focus on creating family-centered services, enhancing collaboration, and exploring policy issues. All are welcome! every 3rd Thursday, 8:15 am - 9:30 am at the CCE-Tompkins Education Center.

May 16: Supporting Parents & Interrupting Abusive Behaviors with Heather Campbell, MSW, Education Director, and Kristi Taylor, Adult Community Educator, Advocacy Center. What can the 'by-stander' do when the parent-child interactions cause you concern for the child's well-being? What if it's in the supermarket or in your work environment? How can we support the parent/caregiver in the moment? How can we create a community-wide approach? Heather and Kristi have skills and approaches to add to our individual, work, and community tool-boxes and will help us work through different scenarios to reduce impulsive, hurtful behaviors towards children.
