Explore why you parent the way you do, the many factors influencing your child(ren) and how you parent, the uniqueness of your child(ren) and family. Discuss issues that directly influence and affect your parenting and family life; topics include parenting styles and discipline, child development, cultural influences and environmental issues. Learn to talk with your children using the skills Encouragement, Can Do, Choices, Self-Control and Respecting Feelings.
This is a FREE, 8 week workshop series run by two trained facilitators, Mary Hicks & Danielle Chase . FREE child care is available with advance registration. Space is limited. Please call (607) 272-2292 to register for the workshop and child care. For free child care please register 1 week in advance!
Meets (8) Tuesday evenings, 6:00-8:00 p.m., February 28, March 6, 13, 20,27, April 3, 16, 23 (snow date April 30). Note: no one may join after March 6th!
