Parenting Teens & 'Tweens

Being a teenager is difficult. Sometimes being a parent of a teenager seems impossible.  Join us for this eight-week parenting skills workshop series for all caregivers of teens and 'tweens, presented by Mary Hicks & Lisa Pate. Learn to use 5 communication skills with your teen/'tween: Encouragement, Can Do, Choices, Self-Control & Respecting Feelings

This workshop will help parents:

  • understand the developmental stages of adolescence and how to help teens and tweens successfully work through this difficult time, while nurturing a strong parent-child relationship.
  • deal with the difficult behaviors of teens and tweens and reinforce the power of caregivers to avoid and lessen conflict, while building confidence and ability in adolescents.
  • learn and practice basic communication skills to assist in talking with their teens and tweens.
