Compost Workshops-Groton

Come to the Groton Library for this FREE 2-part series with experts from CCE-Tompkins' Compost Education Program who will introduce you to the joys of home composting! Take one or both sessions!

January 18 - "Compost Curious" - is for those with no composting experience. We will discuss the benefits of composting (for you, your wallet, and the world), go over some basic compost science, and provide information on how to set up and manage a home compost bin.

May 10 - "Compost Nuts & Bolts" - Originally scheduled for 3/29, this class has been moved to May 10.  Hopefully we will be outside! Class will cover some more advanced issues in composting. You'll learn about balancing greens and browns to keep your compost rotting properly, troubleshooting, and harvesting techniques.
