In Ithaca, Arts and Culture are what we do, and this year’s A.B.E. All Black Everything Arts Festival is bringing you Black Arts and Culture bound to stir your soul. With a variety of big-name artists and new performers, local and national favorites there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
We are a group of artists who believe that a community as beautiful as ours not only needed but deserved, A.B.E. to light up their lives. With so many events happening throughout the festival each day, there is truly something for everyone. Be sure A.B.E. will capture your heart and move you in ways you never imagined.
At A.B.E. we will be hearing from local artists as well as artists from all over the country about the magic of Black art, culture, and heritage. We are going to talk about the relationship between the creative arts and activism, and how we can keep the flame of Black arts alive. We will explore how art has been used to uplift Black people and to fight oppression. We will see how art is used to heal, and share the transformative power of creative expression.
We are highlighting all the artists on our website for those who did not make the live virtual events. Check out local writer, Emily Sanders Hopkins.
This program is made possible (in part or in full) with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by the Community Arts Partnership of Tompkins County.
