Dryden Community Gardens
NLI grad Jean Simmons is the co-founder of the Dryden Community Gardens, which like the vegetables in the garden, has been growing and growing. As of May, they had 25 plots rented for the 2011 growing season and were planning to measure and stake out more. Jean wrote a proposal and received funding from Sustainable Tompkins to purchase deer fencing. A local Eagle Scout recently built an entry way with trelis and benches.
