Nominate a Natural Leader
Thanks for your interest in nominating an emerging leader to the Natural Leaders Initiative.
NLI starts groups in September and February.
How do I nominate someone to participate? Ask the person you want to nominate if they are interested in being part of NLI. If they do, simply complete the nomination form. Tell us the name and contact info for your nominee, how you know him/her, and why you think your nominee should be selected for NLI. Then ask your nominee to sign the page saying they want to participate if selected.
What do I do after I complete the nomination form? Mail it Margo Hittleman, Coordinator, Natural Leaders Initiative, 615 Willow Ave., Ithaca, NY 14850. You may also fax it to 607 272-2088.
Can I nominate more than one person? Yes. You may nominate as many people as you want.
Can I nominate myself? Yes, you may.
How are NLI participants selected? The NLI Steering Committee reads all the nominations and selects 15-20 participants for each group. The committee is made up of the NLI partners (from GIAC, Multicultural Resource Center, Tompkins Community Action and CCE-Tompkins) and NLI graduates.
How will I know who is selected? We will let you know about the committee's decision in early September for the fall group and in early February for the spring group.
