Some sources of assistance for:
Persons with a disability:
To find out about using the TCAT bus, or equivalent service for people with disabilities, call TCAT at 607-277-7433.
To reserve rides for Gadabout Bus, call 607-273-1878.
If you have no transportation for a health-related trip, try calling FISH: Friends in Service Helping at 866-255-6545.
Households with limited resources:
If you receive benefits from the Dept. of Social Services (DSS) and need help with employment-related rides, speak with your assigned benefits staff person, or contact Cynthia Kloppel at 607-274-5022.
If you receive Medicaid and need transportation for health care appointments, contact Suzie at 607-274-5348.
If you are having trouble affording transportation to work or to look for a job, you may qualify for free gas cards or bus passes. See Working Families Transportation Assistance or call Cynthia Kloppel at 607-274-5022.

Veterans:
The local VFW Post takes veterans to the Syracuse VA hospital, mainly on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Call Rick or Jim between 7:30-11:00 at 607-273-5222 at least 48 hours in advance, or stop by 423 West Martin Luther King Jr. Street/West State Street. Pick up at your home is possible.
