Options for Reserving a Ride
Tompkins County offers many resources for when you need transportation on demand. Check out the options below when you need a ride to the airport, a medical appointment, or some other destination. Keep in mind that:
- Airport shuttle services can sometime be used to get other places as well, including bus and train stations.
- CityVan is now providing reserved van rides between the Enfield, Newfield and southwest Town of Ithaca areas and downtown Ithaca on weekdays.
- Volunteer ride services strive to provide rides for those in need, especially people with disabilities, low-income households, seniors, and those needing rides to school meetings.
- Most reserved rides must be made in advance, but the amount of time required varies, with taxi rides usually available right away.
