Retiring from Driving
Way2Go also offers FREE informative workshops that educate participants on the transportation options available that would assist them in retiring from driving, and maintaining their independence. These workshops are offered at Lifelong Learning, as well as at senior housing facilities throughout Tompkins County such as McGraw House, Titus Towers and Juniper Manor. - When to consider driver retirement
- How to stay active, even without a vehicle

Workshops for Professionals
Way2Go offers FREE training sessions that cover the latest details on Tompkins County’s diverse array of mobility options and services, designed for professionals who provide any sort of transportation information or coaching to clients or the public. Participants receive an updated Transportfolio information binder that includes a broad selection of resource materials. Trainings and extra binders are free, but we do ask for feedback on how they are used. Pre-registration is required by calling Maria Christian at (607) 272-2292.

- The area’s local ridematching program, Zimride Tompkins!
- How to buy, use and care for a car for less money
- Tips on walking with kids, and safe, affordable bicycling

Training is designed for people who provide any sort of transportation information or coaching, including:
- Human resource providers and other helping professionals
- Community workers, organizers, and ‘go to’ people
- Front desk staff, intake workers and receptionists
- Educators, program leaders and event organizers
- Human resources specialists and transportation service providers
- Others who help people with life skills, getting around, and managing finances

Way2Go provides employers and HR professionals with transportation information that benefits both the employer and employee! These workshops are FREE and are offered several times a year as a group workshop, or Way2Go can schedule a meeting with individual employers.
