Open Days Garden Tour

Hitch Lyman's Garden
3441 Krums Corners Road, Trumansburg NY

Saturday June 10, 10:00 - 4:00

Hitch thinks of his place as a laboratory rather than a garden. He collects specific plant genera including snowdrops, horse chestnuts, lilacs, species peonies and euphorbia, as well as lots of other unusual things. The peonies and late lilacs should be in bloom for the tour. Other highlights include the Doric 'temple' built around 1840's Greek Revival columns, interesting stonework, and a chance to talk with this extremely knowledgeable plantsman.

Directions: From Ithaca, go north on Route 96 about 6 miles. Turn right onto Krums Corners Road (Look for Natural Beginnings Nursery at the turn.) The house is the sixth driveway on left. Please park on the road.
