Winter 2010
Master Composter Training
Application Deadline: extended to Friday, February 5
When: Evening classes (6:30-8:30pm) every Wednesday evening from February 17 through May 5, 2010 (no class March 24)
Where: Tompkins County Cooperative Extension Education Center, 615 Willow Ave, Ithaca
Description: Master Composters are enthusiastic community volunteers committed to promoting responsible composting. Training includes ten weekday evening classes and an internship from February - April. Volunteer work follows. If you are interested in protecting the environment, improving your own and other people’s gardens and having fun with a lively group, then consider joining us!

Winter Worms Class
When: Saturday, March 6, 2010, 10am - noon
Where: Tompkins County Cooperative Extension Education Center, 615 Willow Ave, Ithaca
Description: In this hands-on workshop, every paying participant will go home with a worm bin and everything they need to know to get started. Children welcome with an accompanying adult. Fee: $10 (sliding scale). Register early - space is limited!
