- School Power...Naturally - This program is designed to educate New Yorkers about energy, and, in particular, the role solar electric power - photovoltaics, or PV - and wind power generation can play in providing clean energy for our homes, schools, and workplaces. Provides curricula, materials, resources, and online tools to be used by any school to emphasize the opportunities and benefits of renewable energy to New York.

- Energy Smart Schools Programs- A NYSERDA program that includes technical and financial assistance and free workshops for teachers.
- NYS Comptroller, How to Reduce Energy Costs - "Energy costs are a large segment of any local government or school district's budget. The two basic ways to reduce energy costs are to pay less for energy and reduce energy consumption. Beyond economic concerns, reducing energy consumption makes environmental sense, giving localities the opportunity to reduce pollution and make their communities greener."
