Floating Classroom Volunteer Monitoring Cruises: Volunteer teams will work with Floating Classroom instructors under the guidance of the Hydrilla Task Force to collect lake samples during June and early July.  We hope that volunteer monitoring will become a proven, cost-saving technique for collecting information on the status of hydrilla in Cayuga Lake.  Information and a calendar of Floating Classroom hydrilla survey cruises is now posted at www.floatingclassroom.net. We are actively seeking volunteers who can commit to one or more cruises. All you need to do is review the schedule of cruises, which begin June 19, and send your preferred dates/times to Bill Foster, floatingclassroom@cayugawatershed.org, 607-272-7256. Bill will be working to organize and schedule monitoring teams for the cruises from this point forward, so don't hesitate to contact him with questions.
