Learn to grow your own plants from seed this year!

Seed Starting for Beginners

  • Wednesday, April 5, 2017, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Start your own plants from seeds indoors this spring! Seed starting is fun and easy, a great activity to hasten spring while saving money and growing the varieties you want, such as delicious varieties that are unavailable as seedlings for sale.

In this workshop participants will learn to construct a simple PVC light stand to grow seedlings under lights, and gain hands-on experience sowing different types of seeds and transplanting seedlings that they can take home for their own gardens.

Pre-registration is strongly recommended so that we can contact participants in case of cancellation due to weather. Call 272-2292 or email cab69@cornell.edu to pre-register, or go to our registration page to register online.

$5-$10/person self-determined sliding scale
