AGENDA

  • The Proposed Cayuga Lake TMDL (Total Maximum Daily Load)
With staff from the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation

Come listen, learn what’s proposed, provide information about water-protecting farming practices already in place in the region, and ask questions.
  • Large-Scale Solar: What Landowners Need to Know to Protect Themselves
    With Chris Denton, Attorney
Rural landowners throughout the region are being approached by landsmen offering lease for land for potential solar installations. Learn about the dangers and pitfalls of these agreements, and what to consider.
  • Community Scale Solar & Using Sheep to Control Ground Cover Growth
With staff from the Renovus Solar and sheep farmer Caleb Scott
  • Changes in the CRP to Include Pastureland
With Erin Madden, Farm Service Agency
CRP now includes a grassland program. If you are grazing animals and interested in rotational grazing, come learn about this program. If selected to participate, there could be cost share fencing and water systems assistance.
