Taste a Quarter

  • Sunday, April 2, 2017, 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Coltivare & the Finger Lakes Meat Project present: "Taste a Quarter": an afternoon of chef-prepared samples of locally-raised meat, cooking and butchering demonstrations, and interacting with local farmers. Learn how to save money by purchasing this high-quality, sustainable meat in bulk rather than by the cut, and taste samples prepared from more unfamiliar pieces of beef, pork, chicken, goat, and lamb.

This is an educational event rather than a farmers market; we invite you to chat with farmers about what they raise and how, and think about shifting the way you buy meat to reflect what's most convenient for farms & affordable for you: bulk purchasing.

Local meat shouldn't be intimidating--it should be fun! Come down Sunday afternoon and fill your belly with delicious home-cooked goodness while learning more about the local food community.
