Cover Crops for the Home Garden

  • Tuesday, August 17, 2021, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Reduce your carbon footprint and enhance your soil all at once! Planting cover crops in your garden is a cost-effective form of nutrition and organic matter and keeps your soil, water, and nutrients from running off. Come learn which cover crops do well in our area and which ones work best for your garden situation.

The class is taught by Jennie Cramer. Jennie has been gardening organically for 25 years. She has a MS in Botany from University of Vermont and and a BS in Ecology from Cornell University. She has expertise in growing vegetables, herbs, flowers, and perennial food crops as well as native plants. She teaches with a focus on the ecological systems that keep our garden ecosystems thriving and resilient.
