Exploring New Markets for Farm Products During COVID

  • Monday, January 25, 2021, 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted markets, supply chains and consumer purchasing patterns, resulting in challenges to farmers seeking to sell their products. At the same time, demand for emergency food has increased. Farmers, distributors and emergency food providers have shifted to fill new gaps in supply and demand and to work with new funding streams.

Join us to learn from Caroline Tolbert, Food Sourcing Coordinator for Food Bank of the Southern Tier, and Christian Kanlian, Produce Supply Chain Manager for Headwater Food Hub, as they walk us through the process that farmers can follow to sell products to FBST and Headwater. The panel discussion will leave plenty of time for Q&A, so come with questions!
