Come learn about all your electric vehicle options as Ithaca Carshare unveils their first two EVs at their 13th anniversary celebration. CCE Tompkins is a partner on a broader EV program that's working to find more equitable and affordable EV options, which expands on our work with the highly successful EV Tompkins program that ran a few years ago.

To celebrate Ithaca Carshare turning 13 and honor the occasion of their adding the first EVs to their fleet, they are hosting Open House events on Saturday, June 12 from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. and Wednesday, July 21 from 4-6 p.m. at 210 Hancock St. Both Carshare members and nonmembers are invited to the events to learn more about the two new Chevy Bolt EVs, the EV charging station located at 210 Hancock, the benefits of carsharing, and other options available for using and even owning an EV. Members of the 1,500-member organization will have the opportunity to test drive the new environmentally friendly additions.

The EVs are part of Ithaca Carshare’s collaboration with Energetics, a clean energy consulting company, CCE Tompkins, and Ridge Road Imports to expand the market for used EVs and facilitating EV usage for the low- and moderate-income community. This project is supported by New York State Energy Research and Development Authority.
