Lipari Garden
This garden surrounds an 1840s farm house with borders, vegetable garden, and orchard. Over the years, most of the lawn has been replaced with borders, gravel paths, and thyme lawns. Most of the shrubs were grown from cuttings. The gardener loves the process of gardening as much as the result, and delights in the thought that many of the plants in the garden started as seeds or cuttings. At the end of July, this garden has moved from the exuberance of early summer to the maturity of mid-summer with many daylilies, lilies, and a wide selection of summer-blooming perennials.
