Open Days Garden Tours

The Tompkins County Community Beautification Program coordinates local participation in The Open Days Garden Tours, a national event sponsored by The Garden Conservancy.  Admission is $5/person per garden with proceeds split between the 2 coordinating groups.

The 2013 Open Days Garden Tour in Tompkins County will be held Saturday June 15, 2013, 10:00AM-4:00PM. The 3 gardens chosen for the Tour will be:

The Gardener's Trail

Ten locally-owned  nurseries and garden centers will offer free talks, demonstrations, tours and samples on a wide range of gardening topics. Free activities will be ongoing at each business between 10 am and 4 pm so you can visit as many as you like that day to pick up gardening tips, resources, ideas and inspiration!

Fall Creek Garden Tour
Sunday June 16, 11:00AM-3:00pm

This FREE, self-guided tour of 11 gardens in the Fall Creek neighborhood starts at Thompson Park, aka Bell Park, on Cayuga and Marshall Streets.  At the Park, pick up a map of the garden locations. The tour is held rain or shine, please start no later than 2:30 in order to finish by 3:00.  Also available at the park will be a raffle with prizes from local garden centers, and t-shirts for sale that feature the woodcut logo of the Fall Creek Garden Club. The Raffle will be held at 2:45, you do not have to be present to win.  Proceeds from the raffle and t-shirt sales are used to enhance the 2 gardens at Thompson Park and also Triangle park on Dey and Auburn Streets.  Sponsored by the Fall Creek Garden Club.
