Green Buildings Survey

The Ithaca area is quickly becoming known as a leader in green building, showcasing some of the finest examples in the region. This has grown largely out of a small community of craftspeople, contractors, designers, and homeowners committed to building beautiful, healthy homes.

Through this survey, we are gathering as much information as possible about the green building materials and methods being used locally. We also know that you, the homeowner, are an invaluable resource for others considering incorporating green building principles into their homes. Therefore, through this survey, we are also hoping to connect future builders and homeowners with those who have been through the process already. Please spend a few minutes and help us gather information about green building in the Ithaca area. (See the end of the survey for how to become a part of our registry of green homes and directly help others who are looking to build green.) Our thanks to Mike Carpenter for sparking this project and creating the first drafts of the survey and to the members of the Ithaca Green Building Alliance for their input and assistance.
