Building Features: Hybrid timberframe, double stud wall construction built of locally harvested lumber; the cathedral ceiling/roof assembly has 2x12 rafters and 2x6 purlins for an 18" think cavity filled with dense-packed cellulose (R-value of 55); passive solar design; reclaimed slate countertops, kitchen cabinets, and sinks; heat provided by wood stove and a ground source heat pump distributed to a radiant floor.
