4-H Urban Outreach Manager - Announcement

Title: 4-H Urban Outreach Program Manager

Responsibilities: Develop and manage a grant funded, community-based youth development program for youth in downtown Ithaca that focuses on safe, educational, and dynamic programming designed to build life skills through experiential learning. Programs include academic tutoring, literacy appreciation, career exploration, computer education, environmental awareness, arts and crafts, multicultural education, and community service projects. Work with college workstudy students, volunteers, interns, and parents to implement a wide range of hands-on learning activities for youth.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree; experience working effectively with youth; Ability to identify needs of youth, particularly youth in at-risk environments. Excellent teaching skills that are effective in a variety of settings, and with a variety of youth.

Salary: $11.54 per hour

Hours/Benefits: Position is grant funded; part-time (20 hours/week) and includes full benefit package including health and dental insurance, retirement, life insurance and more.
