Order by October 1! Local pickup the first half of October. Plant around October 15, and then enjoy the blooms in spring. This is a fundraiser for the CCE Tompkins Master Gardener Volunteer Program. Proceeds will benefit programming such as our gardening advice Growline, local Demonstration Gardens, and more. Our Master Gardeners have curated a list of 25 of their favorite bulbs to span the bulb flowering season, different growing conditions (including deer pressure), and flower colors and sizes that will grow well in Tompkins County. Bulbs are a great way to add spring color to your garden and provide flowers for pollinators. Top-quality bulbs are from Van Engelen, the wholesale branch of the popular John Scheepers Inc. garden supplier. Pickup will be in the parking lot of CCE-Tompkins around October. Exact timing will be announced after bulbs are shipped from the supplier. To help you decide, Master Gardeners chose this year's list of bulbs they have grown successfully, or think would do well locally. Our selection covers a variety of colors and bloom times (March to June/July). Try Ithaca Bikeshare’s electric bikes, explore electric buses, or ride your electric wheelchair up the bus ramp to strap in. Join America’s transformative way of getting… everywhere! Electric vehicles are becoming more accessible, whether by riding an electric TCAT bus, using an eBike from Ithaca Bikeshare, purchasing a used EV, and more. On average, Americans drive <40 miles/day (far less than the average EV range). Although EVs are usually more costly to purchase, they are way cheaper to operate: Even without charging off a solar panel, EVs save an average of 60% on fuel and 50% on maintenance.
