DESCRIPTION:
 	CCE-Tompkins is actively 
 recruiting Tompkins County residents with diverse backgrounds and interests to 
 serve as At-Large members of its Board of Directors. Board
  members guide and shape the direction of the organization’s many 
 programs, oversee its finances and operations, select and evaluate the 
 performance of its director, and other duties that help to ensure 
 CCE-Tompkins effectively meets the current needs of Tompkins County 
 residents.New board members would serve a 3-year term through December 2029, with an option to continue for a second term. The full 
 Board of Directors meets on the first Thursday of each month from 
 5 to 7 pm; Board Standing Committees meet once a month for two hours, 
 at a time determined by the members. This is an unpaid volunteer position, and there is no financial commitment required to serve.Applications will be accepted until October 17, 2026.
 About CCE Tompkins
 	Founded
  in 1913, CCE-Tompkins provides free or low-cost classes, workshops, 
 services and information based on current research from Cornell and 
 other Land Grant universities across the nation.
  Its programs are grassroots driven and created in response to community
  identified needs, on topics that include home gardening, food and 
 nutrition, parenting skills, 4-H youth clubs and activities,
