Way2Go

After 16 years of serving Tompkins County and the surrounding area, the Way2Go mobility management program closed on December 31, 2024.

We are proud of our work over the years assisting youth, elders, students, commuters, new English speakers, those with disabilities, new residents and more with up to date transportation navigation information, providing hands on travel training, hosting AARP Smart Driver classes, finding solutions for getting to testing sites during COVID, making and sharing videos about how to use TCAT, Gadabout, Ithaca Carshare and Bikeshare and navigate trip planner apps, providing classes on buying an EV or used car, getting feedback from County residents on what barriers they faced to transportation access and finding solutions to address those barriers.

As of January 1, 2025 please contact Chief Transportation Planner Tompkins County Frank Doldo at fdoldo@tompkins-co.org for information about mobility management in Tompkins County. For information about transportation resources and services, please contact 211 Tompkins Cortland Help Line. 211 Tompkins Cortland Help Line transpo@hsctc.org Call 2-1-1 or 877-211-8667

We are happy to share that thanks to some end of the year funding, our school transportation liaison program, which provides information and resources to have youth and caregivers participate in after school events and activities, will continue through the current school year, with the intention of transferring the program to another entity by the fall of 2025. Contact Environment Educator Holly Payne at hp67@cornell.edu for more information.
