Transportation’s Role in Health: Barriers, Impacts & Solutions

Interested in learning about and helping solve transportation barriers to healthcare? People across many sectors of our county and region are aware of negative and sometimes devastating impacts on health--of individuals, families, and the community as a whole--due to lack of transportation. Likewise, many of us are working on or want to know about current or developing solutions to those transportation barriers, or may have ideas or input to offer.

All are invited to join the discussion at the October 16th Faster & Farther Network meeting, which will include service providers and advocates involved in the impacts of transportation on health. Together, we will look at:

  • Transportation barriers to health and healthcare
  • Current, developing, and potential solutions
  • Funding and collaboration opportunities

To RSVP (appreciated but not required), or if you have information to share, suggestions, or questions, please contact Sophie Somerfeldt of Way2Go at Cooperative Extension at css17@cornell.edu or 272-2292.

Join our discussion from your computer or smartphone via Zoom :Go to https://cornell.zoom.us/j/302237423 or call 669-900-6833 or 646-876-9923 and use Meeting ID: 302 237 423

* The Faster & Farther Network, coordinated by Way2Go of Tompkins County Cooperative Extension, brings leaders in transportation and related issues together to move faster and farther toward community mobility that works for all. We ask: What could we accomplish together beyond what we can do separately?
