Glorious Ornamental Containers

  • Tuesday, May 3, 2022, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Learn how to combine perennials, annuals, herbs and even edibles into containers from the leader of the Community Beautification Program, Mila Fournier. She and her team design and plant the beautiful containers throughout Ithaca including those on the Ithaca Commons. No gardening experience is necessary but even advanced gardeners will leave with new information, ideas, and inspiration.

About the instructor: Mila Fournier is a garden designer and educator with two decades of design experience that started with guerilla gardening in Brooklyn and has moved her through designing some of the most sophisticated gardens in NYC. Once in Ithaca, Mila has worked as an educator, designer, and horticultural consultant, including managing Ithaca Children's Garden and helping large developers create beautiful landscapes and habitats to offset new construction.

Class Recording: All classes are recorded so if you cannot make the live class, you can watch the video however only participants who have registered in advance for the class will have access to the video recording which is sent 48 hours later to registrants. Register and pay below.

Our goal is to help our areas gardeners have access to this knowledge, free from financial barriers. We have several scholarship spots in each class. If you would like a scholarship spot, please reach out to Maria Christian at mjc72@cornell.edu
