Join Elizabeth Lawson, naturalist, writer and lecturer specializing in horticulture and natural history as she explores the story of how abundant, edible, and beneficial primroses became so successful, circling the Earth, adapting to human civilization, and yet holding their own on inaccessible craggy summits where they may never be seen. Bringing together stories, facts and folklore from around the world, this is a delightful guide to the hugely popular flower that made it into Shakespeare's Plays and captured Darwin's imagination. Once you've been inspired, Mrs. Lawson will share her tips on propagating your own primroses.
