  • Saturday, April 2, 2022, 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM

This is the class that was postponed from March 12, due to the snow storm.

Grow everything from artichokes to zucchini from seed at home. Save money and enjoy the miraculous process of seed germination and plant growth in your home to get you through these last weeks of winter and get your garden started early. We’ll cover techniques such as cold stratification and scarification as well as simple recipes for making your own potting mixes to save even more money. We’ll talk about tools such as grow lights and heat mats and soil blocks. The Saturday workshop location will be sent to you with your registration confirmation. Join for one or both. Our in-person workshop is limited to 20 participants. We have 2 scholarship spots available, please reach out to Maria Christian at mjc72@ cornell.edu if you would like one of those spots.

We will be working in a Greenhouse without heat.  In  the middle of March it could be warm or cold, please wear layers
