Open Days Garden Tours

The Tompkins County Community Beautification Program coordinates local participation in The Open Days Garden Tours, a national event sponsored by The Garden Conservancy. Admission is $7/person per garden with proceeds split between the two coordinating groups.

The date for the 2018 tour is Saturday July 7. View photos and descriptions below of each garden.

Wayne Myers garden

Six acres of rolling lawn and perennial beds contain more than 550 different varieties of perennials nestled behind and between fieldstone walls and structures.

These lovely gardens in Freeville surround an 1800s farmhouse and barn that houses the owner's art studio.

Cindy Lion's garden

Three connected ponds contain lotus, water lilies, and koi fish. Colorful gardens are filled with perennials and a woodland is planted with shade-loving plants.

Louis and Sheila’s garden is a hidden gem in the city. The back yard features exuberant borders of bright summer perennials, a small pond and two stone terraces.
