Stakeholder Survey

This survey is the jumping-off point for the Local Building Materials Initiative, a joint effort by Cornell Cooperative Extension and Ithaca Green Building Alliance. It is a new effort to promote people and companies to buy locally made or produced building materials--lumber, paints, stone, glass, plastics, tiles, and so much more. In order to do that, we are conducting an initial assessment of the level of locally available building materials. Over time the hope is to develop the local production of building materials by creating new business opportunities and expanding existing ones. In a more immediate sense, we would like to cultivate interest in and awareness of the full breadth of building materials being manufactured in this region.
