At the direction of the 4-H/Primitive Pursuits Operation Coordinator, this position will provide routine maintenance and management of the 4-H and Arnot Facilities.

Would you like to make a difference by getting housing, food security, and transportation supports (and more) to people who need them in our community? We are looking to hire one or possibly two full-time (or nearly full-time staff) to help navigate Medicaid members to resources, and support them 1:1 in securing those.
This can be a fully remote position and a great chance to work in a joint project linking Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County with the local health care system, and many local community service providers. The pay rate is $25 per hour and comes with a full benefits package.
Required: computer Skills including use of e-mail and computer based time collection, and willingness to learn new referral management platforms.
Qualifications include ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision; experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment; and experience managing a caseload of clients and providing 1:1 care management support.

This position has two main parts: coordination of compost outreach efforts for Tompkins County residents, groups and at public events and festivals; and working with schools to implement composting programs. The Outreach Coordinator will train, mentor and lead Master Composter volunteers to plan, implement and evaluate various outreach activities at events in the county and at schools. This work will result in an increase in positive attitudes, beliefs and actions regarding composting in Tompkins County and more food scraps being properly collected at participating events and schools.
This position is 20 hours/week and is benefits eligible.
Compensation paid at the rate of $25 per hour.
Required: Master’s Degree with experience relevant to the role of the position. Bachelor’s Degree plus 4 years transferrable relevant experience may substitute.
Qualifications include knowledge of topics such as composting, waste reduction and management, and food scrap recycling; experience in creating and delivering educational programs to children and adults; and ability to travel within Tompkins County and work flexible hours (including evenings and weekends).

Registered Dietician or Certified Dietetic Nutritionist
This person will serve as a per diem RD or CDN for the CCE Tompkins County 1115 waiver nutrition and dietetics programming. They will deliver enhanced nutritional services to clients for whom those services are reimbursable. This role will also require training in the “Unite Us” platform in order to be able to record services provided, and initiate invoices for reimbursement. This person will be a part of the Nutrition, Health, Safety & Financial Education program area and work under the supervision of the Community Health Coordinator.
This is a part-time, temporary position, offering 1-8 hours per week for 1 year, on a renewable basis.

Must be a certified RD or CDN and maintain that status throughout the period of employment.
Qualifications include basic computer skills, ability to work independently, experience working in a collaborative environment, and ability to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in priorities.

This individual will deliver a community- and school-based youth development program in conjunction with similar programs throughout Tompkins County, delivering educational youth programs that address locally developed priorities. They will receive support and supervision from Rural Youth Services, the 4-H Issue Leader, and CCE Tompkins. This person receives guidance from the local Youth Commission to implement and evaluate the program. The position will require supervision of program assistants and direction of volunteers and interns to meet program needs.
This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, non-exempt, benefits eligible position.
Compensation paid at the rate of $20.16 per hour.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education (Associate’s degree with 2 years transferrable program/functional experience) required.
Qualifications include experience in organizing and implementing programs to meet the identified needs of youth; ability to motivate, develop and relate to middle and secondary school-age youth; and ability to work as a team member with local planning groups, schools, professionals and support staff, youth, parents, volunteers, and representatives of other community agencies and organizations.
