Starting May 24th the ride-sharing companies Uber and Lyft will promote rides to and from tens of thousands of vaccination sites through their apps. People can select a vaccination site near them, follow directions to redeem their ride, and then get a ride to take them to and from a nearby vaccination site free of charge. If you have an appointment and need a free ride to a COVID-19 vaccine site in Tompkins County, call 2-1-1 or 877-211-8667 between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm for a referral to transportation options. It's best to call 2-3 days ahead of time.

If you are able to take TCAT, rides are free to the Shops at Ithaca Mall and pharmacies. You only need to show your proof of vaccination appointment when you board.
If you have an appointment at the Binghamton State Vaccination Site and need a free ride, call the GetThere call center at 855-373-4040. 2-1-1 and Tompkins County are partnering with GetThere to assist with arranging out of County trips to vaccination sites.

Whenever possible vaccination appointments should be made for sites in Tompkins County.
First, register for an appointment. For locations and registration at one of the Cayuga Health COVID-19 testing sites go to cayugahealth.org or call 607-319-5708.
After you've registered, call 2-1-1 or 877-211-8667 to schedule a free ride. 2-1-1 is available 8:30 am-5:00 pm to help with transportation options to testing sites.
