Transitioning farmland from one generation to the next, or to a new owner, can be complicated. Farmers may ask themselves many questions, such as: Do I want this land to stay in agriculture? How can I distribute my estate in a way that preserves the farm? How do I treat a child who has worked on the farm fairly?
This workshop, offered in conjunction with New York FarmNet, will help farmers and other agricultural landowners identify the questions they must ask and find the resources they need to make these decisions. Free workshop, please RSVP to Debbie Teeter, Ag Educator, at DLT22@cornell.edu or call (607) 272-2292.
