Dividing Perennials

  • Tuesday, September 24, 2024, 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Janine Willis, Community Beautification Coordinator, will demonstrate how to divide perennial plants. She will start with the basics of the process, explain the different methods used, and what plants are good candidates for division. The second half of the program will be a demonstration out in the garden, participants should dress for the weather. There will be a zoom option, but in-person attendees will get a hands-on experience.

Instructor's bio: Janine Willis is the CCE Tompkins Community Beautification Program Coordinator and has 10+ years experience as a landscape gardener. As Beautification Program Coordinator, she works with staff and volunteers to create and maintain vibrant plantings in Ithaca. She enjoys educating volunteers and the public about plants and gardening techniques, allowing her to put her skills to use in public spaces.

This class is offered in-person or via Zoom.

Fee

$0-$40 This program is valued at $20, however, please pay what you are able. Paying more than $20 will help others attend this class and future workshops.
