Come join us on Zoom as we try out a new recipe focused on switching up your grain routine. In this free class, we will be learning about the benefits of whole grains and getting them into your diet, as well as how to do so on a budget. We will be making Chinese-Style Veggies and Rice. Here are the ingredients so you can cook along with us:
-1 cup brown rice
-1/2 pound of broccoli
-2 medium celery sticks
-1 medium carrot
-1 small jalapeno or other chili pepper
-1 clove garlic
-6 ounces boneless chicken pieces OR firm tofu
-1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
-1 tablespoon brown sugar
-1 tablespoon corn starch
-2 tablespoons canola oil
-1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger
