Create Your Dream Landscape on a Small Budget

Do you feel like your dream garden is beyond your budget? Learn some tips for landscaping on a budget, including how to break the project into manageable parts; deciding which jobs you can do yourself and which should be hired out; staging hardscaping projects like stone paths and walls over multiple years; propagation ideas for producing your own plants for pennies; finding free and low-cost gardening materials in your community; and reducing yearly maintenance costs.

Instructor's biography: Chrys Gardener currently teaches online courses in Organic Gardening and Garden Design at Cornell's School of Integrated Plant Science and manages an ecological garden design and installation business with her husband. Chrys was formerly a horticultural educator at CCE Tompkins, specializing in community gardens and county beautification. She is also a dedicated food gardener, producing most of their vegetables and fruits for the year on their small homestead.

Class Recording: All classes are recorded so if you cannot make the live class, you can watch the video however only participants who have registered in advance for the class will have access to the video recording which is sent 48 hours later to registrants. Register and pay below.

We are committed to making all the Zoom classes in our Horticulture Program financially accessible, so have moved to a pay-what-you-can model. Our Zoom classes are valued at $20. If you can afford to pay $20 or more, you are helping make these classes available to folks who cannot afford the full price. All registrants, regardless of payment level, will receive a video recording of the class.
