Would you like to grow your own strawberries? Do you already have a strawberry patch and want to learn more about it? Join us over Zoom on Tuesday 4/19 to learn all about how to grow strawberries to have plenty of delicious fruits, from June through August! We will go over the differences between June-bearing and ever-bearing strawberry plants, review the most popular varieties of strawberries and their suitability for the home garden, and learn about site selection, weed and pest management, and how to fertilize your strawberry patch. Join us on Saturday 5/7 for an in person visit to a thriving strawberry to do some hands-on learning.

About the instructor: Anya Osatuke is the Western New York Small Fruits Extension Specialist working with Harvest New York and the New York State Berry Growers Association. For her Masters degree, Anya researched strawberries with Dr. Marvin Pritts at Cornell University. Anya grew up gardening and foraging and loves to discuss native and invasive edibles in the landscape.
