Have you thought about applying for a farmland protection grant but not sure how the process works? Come hear from the New York Agricultural Land Trust and landowners who have protected their farmland about what it’s like to protect land through the state farmland protection implementation grant program. Find out what the process is like, what it’s like to work with a land trust, the benefits of selling your development rights, and the long-term considerations when placing your farmland in a conservation easement. Pre-applications for the NYS farmland protection grant are due Monday February 1st. Come learn about the process and considerations for this important grant program. Find out more about the farmland protection grant program on our website at https://ccetompkins.org/agriculture/farmland-prot... This event is part of the Connecting Farmers to the Land Series.
