Tompkins County Farm to School Project Cooperative Group Bid, FOR PERIOD OF: January 1st, 2020- June 18th, 2021

Tompkins County Farm to School will receive sealed bids for a Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Geographic Preference Bid. This also includes grains and maple syrup. The Tompkins County Farm to School works to connect k-12 schools with local food providers to improve student nutrition, provide agriculture and nutrition education opportunities, and support local and regional farmers. Child nutrition programs are also striving to achieve this by working with vendors who can cultivate relationships with various types of local farmers that can provide local products to our districts through a competitive bid process. Questions are due to Chloe Boutelle by 12/03/2020. Questions and answers will be posted on this page on 12/04/2020. Bids will be received at the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County Education Center, 615 Willow Ave., Ithaca, NY 14850. Bids should be addressed to "Farm to School". All bids must be received by 1:00 PM on 12/10/2020. Any bid received after the specified date and time will not be considered. Tompkins County Farm to School reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informality to the extent permitted by law and reserves the further right to make an award to the lowest responsible bidder determined to serve the best interest of Tompkins County Farm to School.

Greenhouse Assembly & Bike Shelter Construction

BID DEADLINE: 4:00pm. EST on 9/25/2020

Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Tompkins County (“CCE-Tompkins") seeks one proposal for two building projects at the main office located at 615 Willow Ave. Ithaca, NY 14850.

1. Full Assembly of a Sturdi Built redwood 9’ X 12’ Lean-to Greenhouse.(https://www.sturdi-built.com/). Inclusive of a 2” X 6” treated mud sill bolted to existing pad, staining AFTER the roof and side wall sections have been assembled. Installation Manual available upon request. Sturdi-Built representative also available for specific questions/concerns.

2. Design/Construct an “Attached” 8’X12’ Bike Shelter which would have similar lines/wood finish of the Greenhouse above. Utilizing Polycarbonate Glass for roof to withstand high winds/heavy snow loads and rot resistant wood such as locust properly secured re: foundation. (back and right side likely to be existing building).

Responses to questions will be posted on the Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Tompkins County web site (http://ccetompkins.org/) by 4pm Tuesday, September 22, 2020.

All proposals are due by electronic submission to to Kathy Jett at kjett@cornell.edu by 4pm on Friday, September 25, 2020.

Any bid received after the specified date and time will not be considered. The successful bidder shall be required to enter into a contract/construction agreement (inclusive of insurance certification) with CCE-Tompkins in the manner and form approved by CCE-Tompkins’ Board of Directors. CCE-Tompkins reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informality to the extent permitted by law and reserves the further right to make an award to the lowest responsible bidder determined to serve the best interest of CCE-Tompkins.
