Learn how to effectively deal with a child's temper tantrums.

Thriving with Your Spirited Child

Do you have a spirited child?

Is your child: Intense? Persistent? Sensitive? Energetic? Perceptive? Cautious? Irregular? Serious?

The key word that distinguishes spirited children from other children is "more" - more intense, more persistent, more sensitive... and more uncomfortable with change. The spirited child can easily overwhelm parents, leaving them feeling frustrated and ineffective.

This workshop series helps parents and caregivers understand children's temperamental traits, identify cues leading up to challenging behavior, cope with tantrums and blow-ups when they do occur, and develop strategies for reducing or eliminating power struggles.

Learn about temperament - a child's first and most natural way of reacting to the world around him or her. Once parents understand the reasons behind the responses, they can learn to work with them to ease the hassles and teach new behaviors.

Class currently meets weekly online for seven 1.5-hour sessions led by trained facilitators. The class series is offered at no cost.
