4-H Acres is an educational facility located in a beautiful natural setting at 418 Lower Creek Road in Ithaca and owned by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County. Centrally located in Tompkins County, the facility is home to many beloved youth programs including 4-H Clubs, the 4-H Youth Fair, Primitive Pursuits and many more. The facility is available to rent by non-4-H groups. It includes two indoor gathering spaces, a commercial kitchen, a covered BBQ pit, a large pole barn, activity fields and nature trails. The neighboring Monkey Run Natural Area and Cayuga Trail offer even more opportunities for outdoor adventure.
Please reach out to Tompkins-4H@cornell.edu if you are interested in reserving the space for your event. Please be advised that all rental materials, including a certificate of liability insurance (if applicable) and a signed rental agreement must be delivered to the 4-H office at least 10 business days prior to use. This allows for the contract to be approved by our insurance provider.
Located at the front of the property, Kiwanis Hall is the main building at 4-H Acres. It contains two large meeting rooms ( Middle Room capacity-49 and Sherman Room capacity-113 ), two restrooms and two kitchen areas; all fully heated. A covered barbeque pit just outside the building is great for cookouts of any size - the perfect addition to a family reunion and ideal as a fundraiser for community groups.
Behind Kiwanis Hall is a lovely lawn area with open space for outdoor activities and gatherings. Mature trees provide shade, and the facility's picnic tables can be used in the sun, shade or under a covered picnic area attached to the hall.
The Commercial Kitchen in Kiwanis Hall is available to rent by itself for a single event or for regular use by a small food business. Please reach out to cce.kitchens@cornell.edu for more information on renting the Commercial Kitchen.
